My room had nice biscuits alongside still and fizzy Cornish water. Access to the town involved navigating steps, yet there was also an easier route for morning exploration. The breakfast included fresh, tasty English options EACH day.
The noise from the pub, due to open mic night, was present until midnight.

popular quiz free parking coffee machine cornish water
the pub hosted a popular quiz night. nearby street parking was available and free. the room featured different teas, a coffee machine, biscuits and cornish water. accessing the town required navigating 192 steps, while an easier route was found later.
the room was above the main bar area and very noisy until late due to open mic night.

Wonderful Stay Above a Lively Pub

equipped room good location
I enjoyed the well-equipped room and how much our dogs liked it. The location is good for getting to town though it is called Jacobs Ladder for good reason. There are many stairs to climb for those wanting a fitness test but there is an easier route if needed.
The limited breakfast choice required immediate ordering upon arrival. There were not many options available to select from.

period character lovely bathroom friendly staff
the room had period character, but it was clean and well-presented. the bathroom was lovely! i found the breakfast delicious. the lady checking me in was very friendly and helpful, which i appreciated.
parking was difficult. there was nowhere near the inn to park. i had to park far away and walk.

loud noise difficult parking missing mirror
the breakfast was good and i did appreciate that.
the noise from the pub was too loud, it went on past midnight. the parking situation was a real problem, i had to walk quite a distance with my bags. the room also lacked a mirror, inconvenient.

The room had everything I needed. It was clean and decorated nicely.
The pub was busy. Karaoke and rugby played loudly. I expected some noise from a pub but this continued longer than I expected. The noise made resting difficult.
